Many cereals ‘have more sugar than desserts’

In my usual glance through the news, I saw this story (click here).  Would you have ice cream or a jam doughnut for breakfast?  I hope not!  But the story tells how many of our “healthy” breakfast cereals have more sugar than either of these unhealthy sweets.

So chocolaty they turn the milk brown!? – yeah, that's just what we need for breakfast!

But lets be honest.  When you look at the names of a couple of the bad examples…

  • Coco Pops
  • Coco Rocks
  • Weetabix Minis Chocolate Crisp

Who the hell is eating chocolate for breakfast??  And worst of all, who the hell is feeding their kids chocolate for breakfast??

Chocolate and sweets are for special occasions only, and then they are for pudding, after your meal consisting of unprocessed, whole foods (ie – foods that have come straight from a farm, not straight from a factory).  They are not for eating every day, first thing in the morning.
