I’m a fan of making things as simple as I can (without letting it stop working, obviously)…this means there are fewer things that can go wrong.
So here is my very simple, very generic guide to the average punter who wants to improve in the weights room.
In fact, it boils down to just 7 words:
“Do it well. Make it harder. Repeat.”
If in doubt, follow this and you won’t go far wrong.
There is obviously more to strength training and getting stronger than just this. But because you really probably don’t need that super complex, multi-day, multi-bodypart routine you cut out of that muscle magazine, this will work wonders for most of the people, most of the time.
